KAINAR ACADEMY is the legal successor of Kainar University, established in 1991.
The KAINAR ACADEMY positions itself as one of the competitive educational institutions of a socio-humanitarian orientation, especially in terms of high-quality and professional training of future personnel:
psychologists with advanced psychological knowledge and practices;
lawyers who are able to navigate the complex legislative process, as well as those who know the technique of peaceful settlement of disputes;
in-demand personnel in the field of finance, accounting and auditing, management;
bachelors in the field of transport services who are able to competently organize freight and passenger transportation, ensure road safety and its control;
Bachelors of Engineering and Technology who develop, implement and operate information systems in various fields of human activity.
ACCREDITATION AT THE KAINAR ACADEMY:
in the period from 04-06 May 2021 for a period of 3 years (until 05/10/2024) - passing institutional accreditation with the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (hereinafter - the NAAR),
educational programs (21 OP in 6 areas of bachelor's degree training and 4 areas of master's degree training) are included in the National Database of the EVPO OP Register and have been accredited by specialized (program) accreditation bodies: the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (NAAR/IAAR) and the Independent Kazakhstan Accreditation Center (NCCA).
30 - May 31, 2023 the program (specialized) accreditation in the areas of personnel training has been successfully completed:
"Social Sciences" - 6B03101 "Psychology" (bachelor's degree) and 7M03101 "Psychology" (master's degree in the profile direction) and 7M03102 "Psychology" (scientific and pedagogical direction) for a period of 5 years.
"Business and Management" in the master's degree of the profile direction - 7M04101 "Finance", 7M04104 "Economics" for a period of 5 years, and 7M04103 "Management" for a period of 3 years.
"Law" in the master's degree of the profile direction - 7M04204 "Jurisprudence" for a period of 5 years.
June 15, 2023 They have successfully passed the post-accreditation monitoring of the NAAR (institutional and specialized in 8 bachelor's degree and 4 master's degree educational programs).
Reports and decisions of External Expert Commissions (EAC), as well as a list of accredited educational programs are posted on the website of accreditation agencies.
The successful completion of institutional and programmatic accreditation is evidence of the quality of the educational process, carried out in two academic buildings in the following areas: educational, methodological, research, socio-cultural activities of the Academy.
PARTICIPATION OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY IN THE RATINGS:
The analysis of the Academy's participation in national rankings shows stable positions throughout all the years of its existence.
Over the past reporting year, the Academy has achieved certain achievements by participating in national rankings.
According to the analysis of the rating of educational programs by universities for 2022, conducted by NCE "Atameken", there is a noticeable improvement in indicators for educational programs in the field of Business and Management:
OP 6B04102 – Accounting and Auditing ranked 28th (among 64 universities),
OP 6B04104 – Finance" took 47th place (among 65 universities).
THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS AT THE KAINAR ACADEMY
The educational process is conducted in accordance with the parameters of the Bologna process. In particular, personnel are being trained in programs at the bachelor's and master's levels.
A multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach is implemented in the content of curricula and programs, individual modules of disciplines are read in English.
Academic conditions have been created for people with special educational needs, the "Center for Inclusive Education" operates, but for the 2022-2023 academic year there is no such category of students among the university contingent.
Internal and external academic mobility of students and teaching staff is realized at a certain level.
The educational programs of the Academy are developed according to the principle of modular construction, taking into account the learning outcomes.
The educational process is provided through the PLATONUS AIS version 5 system.
The attractiveness of the Academy among foreign citizens is growing. About 2% of foreigners from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other nearby countries become students of the Academy every year.
The policy of building relationships with employers has been worked out, a feedback mechanism with graduates has been established and the Alumni Association is functioning.
Elements of dual training have been introduced:
in the field of training "Social Sciences", since 2022, dual training agreements have been concluded with the Academy of Education "Intellect 7G" dated 09/05/2022 and the Publishing House "Taimas" dated 08/25/2022;
in the field of training "Law" - with the Legal Advisory Center with the base of practical training at the Training Center "Global Professional Development".
ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENTS OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
It should be noted the successes and achievements of our students, for example, during the reporting period on OP 6B04201 "Jurisprudence: law enforcement", the team of "Adilet ligasy" consisting of students - Abilbek Dilshat, Kabzhanova Aruzhan, Toktarova Aruzhan and Babazhanova Nazerka under the guidance of senior lecturer of the department Bidaishieva A.B. in March 2023, took part in the International Subject Olympiad among students enrolled in the educational programs "Jurisprudence" and took the 3rd prize.
Students of educational programs in the field of Business and Management take part in the annual educational auction "Stock Simulator", organized by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange "KASE".
As a result of the fulfillment of the project conditions, students of courses 1-4 received more than 10 certificates for the 2022-2023 academic year, the first semester, as well as the certificate of the winner of the Exchange Stimulator project was awarded to Yessintayev Daniyar (portfolio size – 2,207,168 tenge) for active participation in educational exchange auctions.
Students of the "Social Sciences" field of study take prizes in Olympiads and scientific research:
Turmanova K. – 1st place in the Republican subject Olympiad in psychology,
Hamal I. – active participation in the International Olympiad,
Abutalip B. – 3rd place in the republican subject Olympiad in psychology,
Serik S., Poletaeva Ya., Esbol A. – participated in the Republican Olympiad named after S.M.Dzhakupov.
SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
Scientific activity is carried out on the basis of:
research centers and institutes - "Professor S.M. Dzhakupov Psychological Center", "Center for Modern Psychotechnologies and Practical Psychology", "Center for Legal Research" and "Institute of Economic Research";
laboratories - "1C: Accounting", "Criminalistics and Forensic Expertise", "Chemistry", "Laboratory of Engineering Mechanics, Machines and Mechanisms", "Laboratory of Information and Communication Technologies", "Laboratory of Information Technologies", "Physics and Electrotechnical materials", "Electrical Engineering and Electronics".
An analysis of the main problems of the Academy's research activities showed the following:
the gap between science and education remains,
and there is a weak succession of personnel;
a small number of young researchers involved in research;
Research institutes are not integrated into the international research community;
a small number of research projects commissioned by public and private enterprises;
productive partnerships with industrial enterprises have not been built.
One of the strategic directions of the Academy's development was the development of science, increasing the research activity of the teaching staff and students.
The analysis of the dynamics of the publication activity of the teaching staff showed relative stability and dynamics of growth in the number of published articles per year, with the main share falling on Kazakhstani journals and journals from neighboring countries.
There is an increase in the number of publications in the Thomson&Reuters and Scopus databases.

Student scientific circles (hereinafter referred to as SNCs) work at departments and research centers. At the SNK, students participate in conducting experiments, learn to analyze the results of their own research, compile a scientific report and design scientific articles. The Academy has various student scientific circles: "Financier", "PC Architecture, multimedia technology", "Mediation", "Zhantanushi - Psychologist" and others.
Students of the Academy actively participate in student conferences and international conferences. The results and effectiveness of R&D are demonstrated by diplomas and certificates of various levels. The Academy holds annual scientific and practical conferences for students and undergraduates.
PERSONNEL POLICY OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
The Academy's personnel policy is aimed at creating a highly professional team corresponding to the status of a leading scientific and educational center.
In order to implement the personnel policy at the Academy, the "Qualification characteristics of the positions of teaching staff and researchers", "Regulations on the procedure for competitive replacement of positions of teaching staff and researchers" have been developed.
The total number of the academic staff of the Academy for the 2022-2023 academic year is 125 people, including: 45 candidates of sciences, 14 doctors of sciences, 12 doctors of philosophy PhD, 53 masters.
Out of the total number – 9 professors of the Higher Attestation Commission, 9 associate professors of the Higher Attestation Commission.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
International cooperation in the 2022-2023 academic year is carried out on the basis of 5 concluded agreements with OVPO partners, membership in 2 international associations.
The Academy publishes the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Kainar Academy", in which the University's teaching staff are actively published in Kazakh, English, and Russian, but also scientists from Kazakhstan from other universities.
CORPORATE GOVERNANCE OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
Corporate governance is carried out democratically through the expansion of the functions of collegial bodies – the Board of Trustees, the Academic Council, the Academic Council, the Scientific and Technical Council, the Educational and Methodological Council with the participation of external and internal stakeholders in decision-making processes.
The Academy successfully operates an internal quality assurance system taking into account the requirements of international standards "ESG", in order to develop corporate and strategic sustainability, a "Quality Assurance Policy" has been developed, and a risk management system has been introduced in the context of sustainable development.
POLICY OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
Youth policy is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the harmonious development of students, educating young people with high civic and moral principles, a sense of patriotism and social responsibility.
The share of students participating in the activities of youth organizations today is 10% of the total contingent.
Students participate in events of urban, national and global scale. In order to ensure a healthy lifestyle for students, healthy lifestyle promotion is systematically carried out, numerous sports sections are operating.
The Academy has youth associations of student government: clubs, creative studios and collectives, sports sections.
About 30 events are held annually at the Academy aimed at the formation of Kazakhstani patriotism, popularization of the history of Kazakhstan, the state language, a healthy lifestyle, prevention of religious extremism, academic integrity, etc.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL BASE OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
The infrastructure and material and technical base of the Academy is represented by two academic buildings that comply with current sanitary norms and rules, with a total area of 5439.2 sq.m., including a training area of 3084 sq.m.
There are two dormitories with useful areas, a dining room and a buffet, an archive and a medical center with a treatment room.
Premises have been allocated for the equipment of special laboratories, centers and clinics, which are equipped with passports, regulations, special equipment, tools and visual materials and stands.
There are specialized classrooms - a training room and a TV studio, a Studio, 1C: Accounting, a Courtroom, a Clinic for legal advice, an Enterprise Economics, a language lab, Computer classes.
There is a large conference room and a small conference room for business meetings, workshops and negotiations.
INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
Information and technical support in educational buildings, where the necessary conditions have been created with free access to Wi-Fi with video surveillance, there is a park of computer and interactive equipment: 134 computers, 8 classrooms with interactive whiteboards, 14 projectors, a laboratory base, multimedia and language rooms, computer classes are connected to the Internet.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, a coworking center with a Student Service Center is planned for students.
LIBRARY RESOURCES OF THE KAINAR ACADEMY
The Academy has a library with 201,145 copies of books (including 91,993 copies in Kazakh).
The availability of educational, methodical and scientific literature on traditional paper media is 192844 copies.
The availability of educational and methodological literature on electronic and magnetic media of the disciplines of the curriculum of educational programs is 5,489 copies, which meets the qualification requirements (more than 40% of the basic and profile disciplines of the curriculum of educational programs).
There is a modern reading room with books of signal copies.
The Electronic Library operates on the basis of an agreement with the National Library for Access to the Electronic Library and the Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library.
KAINAR ACADEMY'S PLANS FOR THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR
Summarizing the above, it should be noted that there is a lot of work to be done in all areas of the Academy's activities, namely:
attracting foreign teachers and scientists to give lectures and participate in scientific projects;
involvement of practitioners from production in all areas of personnel training in the educational process;
intensification of work on academic mobility;
completion of work on joint educational programs.
Since science still has an important role to play in deepening and developing new trends in industry areas, there is a need to train a new generation of young research scientists. To this end, an analysis of the scientific topics of the Academy's departments will be carried out and a draft program for the development of university science at the Academy for the period from 2023 to 2027 will be developed.
